How OLIVA was born

Oliva was born from the need to create a brand that would give character and contribute to a woman's personal style, like the essence of a perfume, one that is not changed, because it speaks of you and leaves a unique and authentic mark.

That's how, following the idea of creating this brand, the product had to speak for itself, and in that mindset, women's clothing resonated with me, providing a space to build. Today, we live in an era where retail, instant consumption, the vast array of options, and having an endless wardrobe for a thousand different occasions leave us without truly meaningful pieces, which was the driving force behind creating Oliva.

Thinking about the typical insight "I have nothing to wear" or "I always wear the same thing," even though the closet is full, made me want to create that garment that "I always choose," the one that every time summer starts, I prefer over the rest (the same dress from three or five summers ago), because it suits me, makes me feel good, and I look well-dressed without needing to "elevate the look." Because when you choose a well-thought-out, developed garment, with fine materials that last for years and a conscientious design, it's a garment that speaks for itself and doesn't need to be elevated; it just needs to be worn to shine.

This is how I began my search for high-quality materials, opening myself up to international markets. Even though we have a lot of expertise in sewing in Chile, I couldn't find the raw materials I needed. So, through reading, research, and finding out where the raw materials came from, I arrived in Lithuania, at a factory that made exactly what I wanted: 100% linen in the colors I chose from Pantone. Without further ado, and with the savings from my years of work, I took the plunge and bought my first 500 meters of 100% linen.

The next step was the sewing, key to achieving the level of quality I envisioned. I sought out seamstresses who could work with that precision and attention to detail, and I found one with whom I shared a vision, respect for the craft, and a love for the process. It's essential that those who work with you believe in your purpose.

Thus, we developed seven models and launched them into the market. And that's how Oliva was born: from the idea of embracing the beauty of nature, with design, fine materials, and garments that last over time.
